Waleed Albert, MD
Waleed Albert, MD, FACP, is the medical director for Quality and Utilization at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH). He received his medical degree from Faculty of Medicine of Damascus University (Damascus, Syria). He completed his residency at Trenton Affiliated Hospitals (Trenton, NJ) and fellowships at Albany Medical College (Albany, NY)
and Albany Stratton VA Medical Center (Albany, NY). He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a member of the American College of Physicians Executives. Dr. Albert most recently held the position of chief medical officer at Rome Memorial Hospital in Rome, New York. Previously, he held positions as an Infection Prevention officer and attending physician of Infectious Diseases for FSLH and as an attending physician of Infectious Diseases for St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Utica, New York.
