On Sunday, March 23, 2014, Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH) will host a Senior Sunday: Lunch and Learn Lecture. The topic is “The Past, Present and Future of Cardiac Care,” and will be presented by Cheryl Perry, MA, RN, director of Nursing at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare (FSLH), and Thomas L. Norton, MSHCA, co-coordinators for the Mohawk Valley Heart Institute.

Perry and Norton will examine how cardiac care options have evolved throughout the years and discuss how the field is changing, including the impact it has on patients.

The lecture will be held at noon in the Soggs Room in St. Luke’s Home at the Center for Rehabilitation and Continuing Care Services, located at 1650 Champlin Avenue, Utica. Seating is limited; reservations are required and can be made by calling 315.624.HOME (4663). A hot lunch will be served. A voluntary donation of $5 per person would be appreciated to supplement the cost of the luncheon.

The Mohawk Valley Heart Institute is a collaborative program of Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare and St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
